Jim's choice of composers Empty Jim's choice of composers

Post  Mr McCracken Sat Mar 13, 2010 11:46 pm

Helloe fellow fans, as part of my Honours year I'm doing my research paper on what makes Jim select the correct composer for each of his films.

As you all know, he has used a varied selection of composers over the years, but yet the scores almost shine through in each film as a "Jarmusch-esque score", if that makes sense?

Anyway, I'm waffling a bit, I'm just looking for good areas of research for my paper, like interviews, past papers, books etc.

I have seen/read some already but I figured someone may have good suggestions where else to look.

Thanks in advance, Big Ern.

There is a clip on youtube.com where Jim is talking about the musicians and music in his movies . Here it is :

I don't know if i helped . There is some information about his choice of composers on his Wikipedia page . Maybe you should look there.
